The term “cold foam” is used broadly, and the chemical composition varies significantly depending on whether it’s for furniture, bedding, or automotive. I saw a case where a contractor ordered “cold foam” for a boat seat, and it yellowed within a month because it wasn’t UV-stabilized. The supplier’s data sheet said “cold foam system,” but it wasn’t meant for marine use. Always verify the application.

To put it simply: treat your $500 sample order like a $50,000 production run. If the supplier won’t take it seriously, they’re not the right supplier.
