Garage door seal is a mixed bag. The standard EPDM or vinyl seals are fine for normal outdoor exposure to rain and snow.

The unexpected conclusion: For its core job—protecting a waterproofing membrane—the Tremco 2450 Protection Board is clearly superior. However, for the simple job of sealing a garage door against weather, the standard garage door seal is both sufficient and at a fraction of the cost. The Tremco board isn't designed for that flexible, dynamic seal application. It's a rigid board. The garage door seal wins that specific battle.

Dimension 3: Ease of Installation & Long-Term Maintenance
